Mzinga ( We are Smarter Than Me) has a social networking platform and the support of some notable companies in the social learning space-Bersin & Associates for one. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the presentation. You'll need to see the slides from slideshare and listen to the podcast from what I can tell. Let me know what you think of their point of view.

My recent experience
I recently attended a training on Twitter where there were people from a lot of different industries adding to the conversations. People were on Chat, Twitter and the presenter was showing a PowerPoint. I must admit that it was difficult to track with the presenter with all of these different social networking tools going on at the same time. Perhaps it is an age thing to be able to multi-task, but I was truly there to hear about the topic, and not what everyone else was saying. I wonder how others feel and if there is a way to manage these tools during training.

Welcome to Caryl's Blog on Social Networking, Training and Development
Welcome to my first blog on social networking, training and development. My goal is to open a discussion about how companies are using social networking in their companies as part of online or instructor-led training. I know there must be ways in which these new technology approaches can be used effectively so I'd like to open up the dialogue and have others join in the discussion as well. How are you using it in your company?
